CLOSSING CEREMONY! :D

To close the course, we make an special ceremony to our students as a way to say to the kinds "than you" for their support and their time going to the class and for help us to gain experience in our career. 

We made differents activities with them, we try to make this last year Funny to our students. 

Students received a diploma in recognition for having completed the course.

We pass a good semester together, we learn and enjoyed gaining experience and everything was the help of God and Our dear Teacher Orlando Gomez.

Collective class. "proverbs" (reading)

This time, as a team, we preperad a readding class for teenagers and adults. Our students were our classmates from the teaching practicum group 2.

Teachers Giovanny & Georgina started the class making the game "the broken telephone." Students made 2 lines tthe first member of each line had to see a page and they had to say to the classmate next to him what he read. students had to pass the message to all their classmate, and the last person in the line had to go to the board and write what they heard. 


Note: This was a goog way to introduce the topic.

Teachers Karla R. & Karla P. presented the topic "proverbs" teachers pasted on the whiteboard different words. they explain the words one by one. teachers asked to some students to pass and try to put to the words their correct meaning. those words were in the text that teacher will read in the next activity. 


Later, students made a circle and teachers gave to them a piece of paper which had a Poverb, studensts had to read it and say what they understand about that proverb.

Note: communicative activities always are useful. 

Then was the turn of teachers Abi & Hazel. Teachers gave to the students a text. Students had to read it and then complete a worksheet. then, they compare answers together.  

For the next activity, teacher Fatima & Vanessa gave to the students a proverb and a blank page in which they had to make a drawing that represent the proverb that they had. then they had to pass to the front and their classmates had to guess the proverb.

Group's class"toyland" (reading) - Teachers: Yesmin, Karla P., Karla R., Abigail and Hazel

Teacher Abi (warm-up)

Teacher Abi started the class pasting on the board, pieces of paper with numbers which had scarmble word. Students played hot potatoe and the students who had the ball had to pass an chose a number, they had to open the page and try to find the word and form it.


Teacher Karla P. (pre)

Teacher Karla continue with the topic "toyland" she put the desk in the middle of the classroom. she showed to the students real toys by by one while she was asking to them "what is this?" then she pasted on each toy the name tape. then students practice pronounciation 2 times. later, teacher presented the adjectives: small, big, beautiful and ugly. then students practice more.

Note: use realia is useful to make the learning effective.

Teacher Yesmin (during)

Teacher yesmin gaven to the students a t short story and a worksheet. students had to read the text and then answer the questions in the worksheet. 
the first time, students read with the teacher yesmin, then they read alone.Then they compare answers together. 


Teacher Karla R. (post)

Teacher Karla asked to the students to stand up and make a circle, then she gave to the students sticks of paper with pictures of toys. Students had to make pairs and try to make  a little conversation by describing what they had. for example: 
what do you have?
 I have a small bike and a bog car
and what do you have? 
I have a big teddy bear and a beautiful doll.

Note: it was a communicative activity and for that skill is helpful.

Teacher Hazel (wrap-up)

Teacher Hazel put a shooting in the whitebord. students made 2 groups and teacher gave to the students, pieces of paper with words and students had to form sentences. for example: Teacher said "I have a beautiful doll" and the group who had the sentence first, could playe in the shooting and the group who got more points was the winner.  

Note: this was a class in which all the activities were differents but connected and that is good because students practice in differents ways.

Group's class "Toyland" - Teachers: Fernando, Giovanny, Georgina, Fatima and Vanessa

Teacher Georgina (Warm-up)
Teacher Georgina started the class, she asked to the sudents to sit down on the floor and make a circle. 
she showed to the students a little box that had a little minion toy. she asked to the students to close their eyes, then, students open their eyes and the minion was in a different position and she asked to the students where was the minion' and students had to say a sentence, for example "the minion is under the box"           
Note:in the previous class students learn the prepotions "in, on, under, behind, between, next to, and infront of, the porpuse of that activitie was to review previous knowledge.

Teacher gio presented the topic pasting some fashcards on the whiteboard. he continue whit the topic "toyland".Also, he continue with the prepositions "in, on, under, behind etc.

Then, teacher make a little practice witth the students, using markers. Teacher gave differents commands and students had to do what the teacher said. for example: "put the marker behind the desk" and students had to put the marker behind the desk.

In the next activity, teacher Fernando gave to the students a worksheet.

Students had to listen an audio of a short conversation and try to complete the worksheet, then students compared answers together.

Students listen the audio 5 times.

Teacher Fatima & Vanessa. (post and wrap-up)

In the last two activities, students practice more using prepositions. First, teacher fatima, pasted pictures of toys in different places around the classroom. she asked to the students to look for one picture and say whereit was. for example: teacher fatima said"where is the doll?" students had to look for the doll and say "the doll is next to the desk."

For the last activity, teacher Vanessa asked to the students to make a circle. students had to pass a marker while teacher was hitting the board. when the teacher stoped, the students who had the marker had to pass in the front and do what the teacher say.for example: teacher said "put the minion in front of the box" and students had to do it. 
Note: due to that day was raining a lot of the students didn't come to class and just one of them was in the class so, we had to help by being the rest of the students.
